ECU cloning transfers compatible vehicle-specific data from an original engine control unit to a suitable replacement. This can include coding and immobiliser-related information required for the replacement to work correctly.

Cloning may be useful when the original ECU has an electronic fault but its data can still be read. A replacement must have compatible hardware and software; matching part numbers are an important starting point.

Not every ECU can be cloned, and a severely damaged original may require recovery or alternative programming. Please supply the original and replacement ECU numbers and your vehicle details for assessment.
